August 23, 2024 — The AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF) is thrilled to announce the official launch of the AfYEF-Mansa Project, a transformative initiative aimed at onboarding 20,000 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across the African countries within the next six months. This ambitious project will bolster Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing SMEs with access to the MANSA platform—a critical tool that facilitates cross-border trade, investment, and business networking throughout the continent.
Target Countries: Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Uganda.
The AfYEF-Mansa Project will deploy two dedicated teams in each of these countries:
– Sales and Marketing Teams (SMT): Responsible for engaging SMEs, understanding their needs, and assisting them throughout the onboarding process.
– Onboarding Teams (OT): Focused on processing the required documents and ensuring that SMEs are successfully registered and set up on the MANSA platform.
By January 2025, AfYEF envisions a significant increase in SME participation in cross-border trade, helping them access new markets and grow their businesses through the MANSA platform.
Remarks from AfYEF President:
“We are excited to embark on this journey to empower 20,000 SMEs across Africa,” said Prince Siita Sofo Hissan, President of AfYEF. “This project underscores our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth for young Africans. By giving SMEs the tools to connect, trade, and expand, we are laying the foundation for a stronger, more unified African market. The MANSA platform will be a game-changer in breaking down barriers to trade, and AfYEF is proud to lead this effort.”
Vice President’s Remarks:
“This initiative will revolutionize how SMEs across Africa engage in trade and scale their operations. It is a testament to our commitment to empowering youth-led businesses across the continent,” said Fredrick Nonde Jr., Vice President for Administration at AfYEF.
This landmark project will open up new business opportunities, strengthen local economies, and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth throughout Africa.
